Over the years, we have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in selecting and integrating total solutions, particularly in the Education sector.  We also continue to explore the market for new and evolving solutions to our customers' needs and issues. 

In the educational environment, there is a particularly powerful need to control and manage the network and user environment.  There are many systems on the market for this but few that are effective, efficient and focused on the special requirements of schools.  Of these, even fewer are easy to use, flexible and continuing to develop to address the evolving environment, including PDAs and Microsoft Windows Vista.

• Ranger Suite
  Originally dominant in the secondary schools market, Ranger has grown its presence in primary schools and is now the leading network management system for schools.  We are pleased to note that Ranger are committed to having a Windows Vista compatible version by the end of 2007 and expect that this will make Ranger by far the best long-term solution in this market.  The Ranger Suite includes several modules that can be purchased separately including network management with real time network monitoring, classroom control, instant remote control, print control and charging, user activity logging, security reports and usage statistics.
   
• SynchronEyes
  SynchronEyes is a powerful classroom control package developed by SMART.  While it works beautifully with SMART Boards, it is totally separate and can be used with any interactive whiteboard or without one.  SynchronEyes enables a teacher to control the computers within the classroom from their own machine.  Control can be applied to all machines, one machine or a group at a time.  The package allows the teacher to show their own screen on every user's screen or to show any user's screen to every screen in order to highlight something of interest.  SynchronEyes also includes many useful features including interactive quizzes.  It is also the only package on the market to enable control to be applied over PDAs as well as desktop and laptop computers.
   
• Parago
  Parago is the leading online ICT inventory recording and tracking system.  Already installed across many LEAs in the UK and in several individual schools, Parago loads a small piece of software onto each computer which then identifies the hardware and software configuration of the machine.  It then reports this data to a hosted database via the internet.  The client software then runs each day and reports any changes it detects, e.g. new software or a memory upgrade.  The database therefore holds, within a few hours, the latest hardware and software inventory of the organisation.  The database is easy to set up and manage, allowing the database manager, usually a school's ICT manager or an administrator, to allocate each piece of equipment to a location or group for easy monitoring.  The system can also record software licences and will highlight any software where the software is loaded on more machines than it is licensed for.  The reporting of changes can also highlight the loading of unauthorised or inappropriate programs, enabling them to be identified and removed promptly.  Parago offers a cost-effective solution to the problem of how toy to track hardware and software and enables managers to track and monitor their ICT infrastructure to a degree never previously achieved.
